Distribution of Masks and Sanitizers during Pandemic

February 2, 2021: Due to the pandemic of Corona Virus, schools in Nepal were closed for the last 10 months. It was still not safe to get them re-opened. But between this pandemic, schools were being started without due precautions. BIA Foundation responded by organizing a distribution drive for masks and sanitizers to schools in our network. Our goal was to ensure that when children returned to school, they had the minimum protective equipment necessary to reduce the risk of infection. We coordinated with school administrators and health authorities to identify the most at-risk schools and prioritize distribution accordingly. In total, we covered several schools across Kathmandu and surrounding areas. The safety and health of children is our utmost priority. We urge all schools to continue following strict hygiene protocols and encourage parents to educate their children on proper handwashing and mask-wearing. BIA Foundation remains committed to supporting education and health in equal measure.
