Carts Distribution Program in Kailali
Event Information
February 12, 2021: We were able to distribute six carts at a program in Kailali. The recipients are the people whose source of income got affected by the pandemic and were struggling to meet their family's ends. This initiative was to provide them with a means to restart their small businesses or street vending activities, which had come to a standstill during the COVID-19 pandemic. Carts are an essential tool for many micro-entrepreneurs who sell vegetables, fruits, tea, or other goods on the streets. BIA Foundation believes in empowering individuals to help themselves. Rather than providing one-time relief, this initiative was designed to give recipients a sustainable livelihood tool that could generate income for years to come. We are grateful to our donors for funding this initiative and to our volunteers who coordinated the distribution. We will continue to identify and support vulnerable communities whose livelihoods have been most severely impacted by the pandemic.
