BIA's 5th Year Anniversary and 3rd BIA Award 2019

Event Information

August 29, 2019: Today BIA Foundation celebrated the 5th anniversary with great zeal. The event was graced by the presence of Rt. Honorable Nanda Bahadur Pun, Vice-President of Nepal, His Excellency Peter Budd, Ambassador of Australian Embassy, our Founder/President Chogyal Rinpoche and other distinguished guests. The students and staffs in BIA performed various songs and dances making the program fun and interesting. During the event, we conferred the 3rd BIA Award 2019 to Ms. Sangita Pant of Entire Power in Social Action (EPSA) for her steadfast commitment and contribution towards supporting and empowering people with disabilities through her organization. This initiative is to encourage and acknowledge the efforts and dedication of individual/organization working in the disability sector. Five years ago, BIA Foundation was founded on the belief that compassion in action can transform lives. Looking back, we are humbled by how far we have come — from a single rented building in Kathmandu to a network of projects supporting hundreds of people across Nepal. All of us here at BIA would like to thank everyone present today for making the event successful and a memorable one. We would also like to thank all our friends, supporters and well-wishers who have been a great support system to BIA Foundation throughout this period of 5 years.
